Fred has been involved in aviation since the age of 18, when he qualified as a pilot in the SAAF. He has flown 19 types ranging from piston engine taildraggers to medium turboprop and turbojet aircraft. He qualified as a SAAF Flying Instructor, Pilot Navigator and Maintenance Test Pilot and was an approved Designated Examiner (Botswana). He has held the posts of Chief Pilot, Safety Manager and Operations Manager. As an accident investigator, he has worked on more than thirty investigations. He has held five licences as Airline Transport Pilot (USA FAA, RSA, Kenya and Botswana) and a Namibian Commercial licence and has accumulated a total flying time of 7535.00 hours on fixed-wing aircraft. As a Lead Auditor (also being Flight Safety Foundation BARS qualified as Lead Auditor), he has conducted more than 50 audits of aviation companies (both on-site and online) in more than 20 countries worldwide. Dennis is our specialist consultant in Botswana, who holds a Commercial Pilot Licence with Instructor Rating. After completion of his training in 2009, he Joined the Department of Civil Aviation Botswana as an intern Flight Operations Inspector. In 2010 he was hired as a Flight Operations Inspector, and as such he was at the centre of ensuring compliance by the CAAB to ICAO and also AOC holders Compliance to CAAB which earned him a position as Botswana National Coordinator and Compliance Monitoring officer on behalf of ICAO. He has worked with the CAAB. He was promoted to Senior Personnel Licencing Officer in 2013. He is also a qualified Lead Auditor certified under ISO 9001 (Quality Management Systems Documentation Auditor 2011) and was trained in the Universal Safety Oversight Programme in 2012. Dennis Joined the Office of the Botswana President in 2014 where he started flying the BN2-T Islander aircraft and later qualified on the Pilatus PC 12 NG, which he is flying and instructing on to date. He has a total flight time of 1720hrs (fixed-wing) and participates in flying VVIP’s and cargo as well as surveillance flights. Dennis adds huge value to the team from his experience ranging from Regulatory, Certification of AOC’s, Auditing and flying experience and will be key to our tourism section, as he knows the industry backwards.

Alwyn Bierman is our Specialist Consultant in Namibia and brings with him a wealth of experience in all areas of aviation and especially Namibian aviation operations and small, unmanned bush strips . A true leader who is calm, methodical, meticulous and responsible, he is also an experienced pilot, with more than 8000 flying hours and ratings for 8 aircraft types and who has in-depth knowledge of flight safety protocols and aircraft operations standards and is a Board Member of the Namibian Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA). His experience includes flying freight and passengers both internationally and on local charter flights, medical ambulance flights, and he has also worked as a Safety Officer. In addition to this, Alwyn was a Flight Operations Manager for Bush Pilots in Namibia. As a Senior Personnel Licence Inspector at the Namibian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) he was in charge of Inspector Training Flight Standards (International and FAA) and managed the Safety Oversight Function (IATA). Alwyn is qualified in Performance Based Navigation (ATC), has completed a Flight Validation Course at the Air Navigation Institute GmbH in Zurich, Switzerland; as well as PBN I & II (IATA) in Brussels, Belgium where he attended the Airbus ALE Safety Seminar. Alwyn will be collaborating with us on getting the tourism industry up and running again in Namibia in addition to doing any on-site audits in Namibia.

He has over 30 years experience in accounting and financial management/consulting of which 17 years were spent in Tanzania, where he was the Financial Manager of an aviation company.
Tinus is also the Financial Director and Rental Manager at The R.E.A.L Estate Company.
This multi-talented man is a highly experienced and competent accountant and tax consultant and we’re thrilled to have him onboard.
